BAY & SUMMIT ROOFING Call

Collingwood & South Georgian Bay

Where we work, town by town

Six towns along the south shore of Georgian Bay, and a page for what the roofs do in each one.

One region, six different roofs

Bay & Summit Roofing is based in Collingwood and works a radius of roughly forty kilometres around it. That circle takes in six towns, and the roofs in them do not fail the same way. Wasaga Beach gets sand in the eavestrough. The Blue Mountains get snow sliding off steep metal in slabs. Thornbury has century fascia that will not hold a modern hanger. Stayner has wind that nobody quotes for. Meaford has brick chimneys and orchard-country rooflines with one downspout at the end.

That is why each town has its own set of pages rather than one page with the town name swapped. Every page below was written from what is actually different about that job in that place. Pick your town, then the service, and you land on the page that describes your roof.

The six towns and their pages

Between the towns

Most addresses in the region are not in a town centre. If yours is one of these, the town page beside it is the one that applies.

The same six services everywhere

Every town gets the same six services: roof repair, roof replacement, metal roofing, emergency roof repair, eavestrough, and commercial flat roofing. Four of them have a page for each town. Emergency work and commercial roofing do not, because the job does not change much between Wasaga Beach and Meaford; the Collingwood page covers the region.

Eavestrough is the service that changes most from town to town, which is why it has its own region-wide page sorting the six towns by what fails at the eave in each one.

Service area questions

Do you cover cottages in Craigleith? +

Yes. Craigleith sits inside The Blue Mountains, and the Blue Mountains page covers it: chalet rooflines, slide paths off steep metal, and the snow load that comes with the escarpment.

Is Clarksburg in your service area? +

Yes. Clarksburg is a few minutes up the Beaver Valley from Thornbury and the Thornbury page applies. Century homes there have the same old wood fascia and maple-key problems as the harbour streets.

Do you go out to farms in Clearview Township? +

Yes. The Stayner page covers Clearview Township, including barns, shops and outbuildings. House and outbuildings are assessed together so one visit covers the property.

How far past Meaford do you go? +

The regular service area is roughly forty kilometres from Collingwood, and Meaford is the western edge of it. If your address is further out, call and describe the job. You get a yes or a no on the phone, not a visit that turns into a no.

My address is not on this page. Does that mean no? +

Not necessarily. The six towns are where the work is most often, and the hamlets between them all belong to one of those pages. Anything inside the forty-kilometre radius is a normal call. Anything outside it is a straight answer either way.

Not sure if we cover your address?

Call and describe the job. You get a straight answer, hired or not.
