Start with the problem, not the product
Most homeowners call us with a symptom rather than a service: a stain on the ceiling, shingles in the driveway after a windy night, ice building along the eaves every February. The right service follows from the diagnosis, and the diagnosis usually needs someone in the attic, not just on the roof.
That is why every quote starts with an inspection that includes the attic. Ice damming, premature shingle failure, and most mystery leaks in this region trace back to ventilation and insulation rather than the roof covering itself. Replacing shingles over an unaddressed ventilation problem buys a few years and repeats the failure, which is a good way to spend twenty thousand dollars twice.
