Why 705 Roofing is first
It is the local company. 705 Roofing is run from Stayner and has roofed in the town through 2026, including a full replacement in Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration in March and a re-roof of one side of a house in October. Its 82 Google reviews are the largest record of any roofer based in Stayner or Wasaga Beach, and twenty of them arrived in the last year, so the record is current.

What Stayner roofs need
Stayner sits in Clearview Township, inland from the bay, on flat farmland that the wind crosses freely. Two things follow.
Snow load and ice dams. Lake-effect snow off Georgian Bay reaches Stayner, and a house with a warm attic melts it from below. The water refreezes at the cold eaves and backs up under the shingles. Older houses with tired decking. Many houses in town are decades old and on their second or third roof. When the shingles come off, some of the plywood or plank under them is usually soft. A quote should state a price per sheet of new decking, so the number does not grow on the day.

Questions homeowners ask
Is a Stayner roofer cheaper than a Collingwood one? The materials cost the same. A local crew spends less time driving, which can help on a small repair. On a full roof the difference is small.
